As Chief of Police, my primary focus is to protect the public and put my officers in the best positions to succeed. I will continue to work tirelessly to push our leadership to improve, and not allow our officers, dispatchers, and support staff to accept mediocrity. A law enforcement agency must intercept crime and provide the community with an open line of communication. This cannot be accomplished without a motivation to improve.

As a life long resident of Lancaster, I am honored to serve as the mayor. Lancaster was recently named by Ohio Magazine as one of Ohio's "Best Hometowns".  This award only confirms what we have known, that Lancaster is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. We have beautiful parks, a vibrant downtown, and great people. I am excited for our future.

Mayor Don McDaniel
